Doesn't that sound like a great flick? I knew then that I had to talk to director Mark Lewis about making this little epic. Mark was kind enough to answer many inane questions for me and send some pics as well so, without further ado, here we go!

Divine Exploitation - What was your inspiration for this film, Chaos Unllmited?

Mark Lewis - The inspiration started in the early 90's. I was living alone in Los Angeles when the Rodney King riots broke out, and for three days I stared at the TV and watched as the violence spread closer to where I was.
I remember thinking for the first time: "I really wish I owned a gun." So it was that paranoid thought that started the creative process.

DE - Is Scott Lewis who plays Carl, related?

ML - Yeah he's my younger brother and we've developed a really good working relationship over the years. So often in these types of action movies the whole thing gets sunk by a lead actor who looks ridiculous when you put a gun in his hand. Ben Affleck comes to mind where you don't believe for a second that he could hold his own in a fight. I think Scott has a natural charisma in that regard, and I think I've only scratched the surface of what he's capable of.

DE - How hard was it working with all the guns?

ML - Well, it would have been a lot easier if we could have afforded an armor/weapons specialist. We basically had three types of guns; an actual shotgun that fired blanks (Half-load. Full load spits out too much smoke), 8mm blank pistols we bought on the internet, and for the machine guns we had pellet guns we spray painted black and insterted the gunfire afterward in post with CGI. The 8mm pistols were a massive pain in the ass because they had the tendency to jam take after take. With the CGI guns you run the risk of looking goofy by having the actors mime the firing motions, but I think we came off okay.

DE - How did you decide on the location since the action never leaves the house?

ML - Actually, the location was my father's house. After he died it went to my brother and I. And I figured
