''What better way to honor his memory than to make his place the central location of my profanity laden body count movie?"

DE - Was Mary (Sanaz Mozafarian) really pregnant for this film?

ML - No, the actress (Sanaz) was wearing a foam prosthetic. In auditions I had actresses video tape them- selves in full body shots, because I wanted someone who could sell the physicality of being pregnant She really nailed it and integrated it iInto her performance.

DE - How long did it take from first day of shooting to finished film?

ML - Well, the shooting lasted 12 days. Then it was about six months editing and six months doing the digital effects because everyone was holding down other jJobs through the post production process. So about a year from start to finish.

DE - What was the budget on the film?

ML The budget was around 28,000 dollars, and a good deal of that went to food and lodging for the cast. I live in Mass and most of the actors were from New York, so that was an unavoidable expense. I just wish that extra money could have been put on screen.

DE-Why did you opt for New York actors when you could have just used local talent like your brother?

ML-I did cast a lot of the supporting thugs and looters with Mass actors, but in terms of the four
